Stamp It Group Mother’s Day Blog Hop

Mother’s Day with Honeybee Home

Welcome to Stamp It Groups Mother’s Day Blog Hop! My name is Mikki Winebrenner. I am from Iowa-USA and you are visiting my blog Paper Tales – Stamping and Creating with Mikki.

You are most likely joining from a previous blog and I am excited to have you here! Today I have a wonderful Slim Line card for you that any Mother would love.

But first…. A little housekeeping!

At the bottom of the blog post you will find a list of all the participating blog hoppers so you can move along from blog to blog and see all the amazing projects. Leave a comment on each blog with the hashtag #stampitcontest to be entered to win the Stamparatus Positioning Tool!

I decided to use a Slim Line card for Mother’s Day because it’s a little different then your everyday card. This one is especially different as it is also a fun fold card. This card also opens on the side instead of the top.

I have used 3 different stamp sets for this card, Honeybee Home, Flowering Tulips and Daffodil Daydream.

Here is a run down of the paper sizes for a quick reference. I do have a full printable PDF below with detailed Instructions.

Cutting & Scoring:

• Pale Papaya 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock – 3-3/4” x 7” score at 1” – Card Base 1

• Pale Papaya 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock – 3-3/4” x 8-3/4” – Card Base 2

• Pale Papaya 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock – 3-1/4” x 5-3/4” – Card Base 3

• Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock – 3-1/2” x 8-1/2” – Inside Cardstock

• Basic White 8-1/2” x 11” Cardstock – 3” x 5-5/8” – Card Front

• Heart & Home 12”x12” Designer Series Paper – 3-5/8” x 8-5/8” – Inside DSP

• Heart & Home 12”x12” Designer Series Paper – 3-1/2” x 5-3/4” – Card Front

This card uses a couple of different techniques. Adding a little Pale Papaya to the Basic White Cardstock with a blending brush and the flowers are all inked with Stampin’ Write Markers.

These two techniques are amazing and such a simple way to add color to your images without a lot of fuss.

Also adding some beautiful Brushed Brass Butterflies around the card front gives the card a special touch.

This was a fairly quick card to put together to please download the PDF with all the instructions, measurements and supplies for this beautiful Mother’s Day card.

I will have a full list of products used below for a quick view of all the products used in this project!
